National Harbor Building "P" Retail and Parking Garage
National Harbor Retail/Parking Building “P” is located on sloped site in the heart of a major mixed-use complex. The facility serves two hotels, a residence tower and numerous retail and entertainment venues. It includes a six-level, 500,000 sq ft building, of which there is 16,500 sq ft of retail space and 10,000 sq ft of office space on grade, and a 400,000 sq ft parking structure housing 1,424 car spaces above.

Precast concrete was chosen for the main structural system because it adapted well to the site. Precast concrete allowed a uniformity of features yet each face of the building had a unique appearance that suited its main function. Cast-in-place post-tensioned concrete construction provides a 2-hour fire limit separating the on grade retail/office area from the precast double tee parking structure above.
